[ About Frys-IX ]

Frys-IX — public profile.

Frys-IX is the internet exchange serving the northern Dutch region. It joined Data Facilities under the DFIP programme as the first IX to take a position at THG1, bringing the northern Dutch peering footprint into the western metro.
[ Why Frys-IX + DFDC ]

How Frys-IX integrates with THG1.

Frys-IX is reachable on any BareFABRIC Port without an additional cross-connect. For DFDC tenants this expands the peering footprint beyond DFIX without buying separate transport; for Frys-IX members it extends their reach into the western Dutch metro through the BareFABRIC fabric.

How a deployment with Frys-IX looks in practice.

Upstream on AS6206

AS sits in the DF Transit upstream mix. Routes originated on DF Transit egress over Frys-IX where BGP selects it as the best-path. No extra cross-connect required — the upstream is native.

One port, full blend

A single BareFABRIC port lights DF Transit; the blend includes Frys-IX plus the other Tier-1 upstreams. You get the routing benefit of multiple Tier-1s without buying multiple cross-connects or running BGP yourself.

Diverse-path egress

DF Transit egresses over physically diverse paths out of THG1, with multiple Tier-1 upstreams active simultaneously. Single-carrier-incident risk does not take down your egress.
